Alice M Hoehn

Alice M. Hoehn, 95, of Delphos, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Vancrest Healthcare Center of Delphos.  Alice was born on October 5, 1922,  in Delphos, Ohio to Edward and Gertrude (Gladen) Martz.  On February 12, 1945, she married Ralph F. Hoehn at St. John’s Catholic Church in Delphos. This February they would have celebrated 73 years of marriage.

Alice is survived by two sons, Edward (Marsha) Hoehn of Delphos and David (Anne) Hoehn of Liberty Twp.,Ohio; one daughter, Nancy (John) Alexander of West Chester, Ohio; and daughter-in-law, Rene Hoehn of Delphos. One son, Daniel Hoehn, is deceased.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by brothers Melvin Martz and Erwin Martz and sisters Alvera (Martz) Osting and Leone (Martz) Miller. Mrs. Hoehn is survived by sisters-in-law, Eileen Martz of Delphos, and Jenny (Hoehn) Maag of Columbus Grove, Ohio. Additional brother and sister-in-law survivors include Jerry and Shirley Hoehn of Delphos and Joseph and Earlene Hoehn of Olmsted Twp., Ohio.

Alice was a wonderful homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She graduated from Delphos St. John’s High School, class of 1940. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia #40 and a former member of the C. D. of A.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 29, 2018, at 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos.  Fr. Daniel Johnson will preside.  Burial will be at a later date.  Visitation will be on Sunday, January 28, 2018, from 2:00-6:00 pm. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos.  A Parish Wake will be held at 5:30 pm.
