Andy J. Patrick

Andy J. Patrick, 94, of Delphos, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Vancrest Healthcare Center in Delphos.

He was born January 10, 1923, in Hellier, Kentucky to Charles and Eliza (Elam) Patrick. Both preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Octavia Isaacs on August 28, 1942, they were married for 75 years, and she survives in Delphos.

He is survived by two sons, Rick (Donna) Patrick of Lima and Jack (Farol) Patrick of Elida; brother, Jim (Nan) Patrick of Delphos; sister, Yvonne Lawson of Cumberland, KY; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Tuell; and a brother, Grover “Peno” Patrick.

He was a member of Church of God in Fremont, Ohio and he had coached baseball for many years. He was the first coach for Perry summer baseball. He had worked in the coal mines in Kentucky before moving to Lima, he then worked at Ex Cell-O for 31 years as a quality control inspector. He has served in the Army during WWII, where he was with Merills Marauders in Burma India.

Funeral services will be on Monday, December 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home with viewing one hour prior to the service, where military grave rites will be performed by the Delphos Veterans' Council. Jim Patrick will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Elida. Friends may call on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
