Daniel J. Osting, 65, of Delphos, passed away on Thursday, August, 10, 2017, at his residence.

He was born July 11, 1952, to Red and Jeanetta “Peg” (Kill) Osting. Both preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Barbara Miller in 1975; she preceded him in death on March 9, 2014.

He is survived by two sons, Jason J. Osting of Delphos and Aaron L. Osting of Fort Jennings; three grandchildren, Lauren Neumeier Osting, Cody Osting, and Ethan Osting; brothers, Ben (Kim) Osting of Delphos and Dick Osting of Delphos; sisters, Scarlet (Del) Kemper of Delphos and Linda (Jaye) Wannamacher of Delphos; and  brother-in-law, Floyd Schlereth of Delphos.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Schram

Dan was a fabricator and welder at Fruehauf and Eaton Corp. He was an expert welder and a true craftsman. He retired from Festec after many years of faithful service.  He was a loyal, straight-forward man.  He treasured time with his friends and family and enjoyed being outdoors any chance he could get.  He was also a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

There will be a public graveside service for Dan and his beloved wife Barbara on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery.  Father Charles Obinwa will officiate.
