Dennis R. Fox

Dennis R. Fox, 70, of Delphos, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born August 19, 1947, to Roy and Lavina (Dye) Fox in Lima. Both preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Rose Cummings, she survives in Delphos.

He is survived by one son, Gerald Bowling of Delphos; two daughters, Julia (Miles) Nelson of NC, and Glory (Ernie ) Slate of Delphos; two brothers, Rick Van Dyke of IN and Greg (Tammy) Van Dyke, Sr. of Delphos; two sisters, Deb Brenneman of Wapak and Rebecca Van Dyke of Coldwater; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, April and Venus Fox; and brother, Roger.

He attended the Delphos Wesleyan Church, was a member of the VFW #3035, and he served in the Army in Vietnam in heavy artillery. He was an avid coin collector and loved spending time with his kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Monday, January 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service with Military Grave Rites by the Delphos Veterans Council at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Pastor Pam Geise will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delphos Wesleyan Church.
