Gerald J Siefker

Gerald Siefker Sr., 76, of Delphos passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at St. Rita’s Health Care Center. 

He was born on February 16, 1941, in Delphos to Joseph A. and Valeria (Clementz) Siefker.  They preceded him in death.  On September 24, 1988, he was united in marriage to Linda Lammers who also preceded him in death.

He is survived by three sons, Michael Siefker of Lima, Jerry Siefker, Jr. of  Van Wert, and William (Michelle) Siefker of Grover Hill; one daughter, Lorie (Duane) Honigford of Ottoville; two stepsons, Daniel Lee Hennon of Lima, and Ray Wreede of Lake Panasoffkee, FL.; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth Aker of Lima, and Carla Wreede of LaGrange, IN.; one brother, Joseph (Kathy) Siefker of Delphos;  two sisters, Alma Carpenter of Ottawa, and Ann Orosz of Columbus; seven grandchildren, and one great- grandchild; ten step grandchildren and five step great-granchlidren.   

He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Siefker. 

Gerald had been a factory worker for thirty years employed at Ford Motor Company.  He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Delphos Eagles, Aerie #471.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017, at 1:00 pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm that same day at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Father Daniel Johnson will preside.   Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
