Joan M. Culp, 82, of Delphos , passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born December 19, 1935, to LeRoy and Golda (Harpster) Louth. She was united in marriage to Eugene Culp on August 19, 1956. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1999.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene (Deanna) of Delphos and Randy (Dawn) of Grover Hill; a daughter, Lisa (Tony) Cross of Delphos; two sisters, Karen (Richard) Fegley of Convoy and Sandy (Dan) Von Sossan of Ft. Jennings; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by three brothers, Gary, Paul and Albert (infant) Louth; and a sister, Janice West.
Joan had worked at Huffy Corporation, KP Industries and National Seal. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star. She was a very active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, being the music director along with being involved in the children’s ministries. Joan loved going on mission trips and being involved in missions of all types. She was a very loving and kind person and would always help in any way that she could. Family was of great importance to her, including all the family gardening done throughout the years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Rev. Rich Rakay will officiate. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, February 22, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. and an hour before the funeral service at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
