Matthew L. Point

Matthew L. Point, 43, of Delphos, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Van Wert County Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born April 9, 1974, in Lima, to Billie Gene and Linda Lou (Kalinsek) Point.  Both preceded him in death.

He is survived by a brother David (Deb) Point of Delphos; sisters, K. Beth  Wittler of Belle Center and Margaret Williams of Scott; nieces Ashley Ann (Chuck) Wilson of West Milton and Brittany Point of Charleston, SC;  nephews Christopher (Allie) Carder of Columbus, Kevin (Sarah) Carder of Lima, Patrick Nusbaum of Tampa, FL, and Nicholas (Hailey) Nusbaum of Napoleon; and two aunts Karen (Ben) Violet of Delphos and Sue (Steve) Truesdale of Lima.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick A. Point.

Matthew was a graduate of Marimor School in Lima.  He enjoyed his time at home with his mother prior to her passing.  He was a Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan, a fan of Michael Jordan with the Chicago Bulls and a NASCAR fan with his favorite driver being Jeff Gordon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.  Pastor Steve Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday, October 6, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday.
