Phyllis J. Backus

Phyllis J. Backus, 80, of Delphos, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Sarah Jane Living Center.

She was born August 24,1937, to Clarence and Irene (Bair)  Backus who both preceded her in death.

Phyllis was survived by many cousins. 

She was a member of Delphos Wesleyan Church and a graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. She sold Avon for 25 years and also worked at the Sunshine Day Care Center in Delphos.  In her early years she worked at Vanamatic.   Phyllis was an avid Wildcat fan of Delphos Jefferson football and basketball. 

Her cremated remains will be interned at Walnut Grove Cemetery following Graveside Services which will be on Saturday, January 26, 2018, at 2:00 pm.  Rev. Pam Geise will officiate.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Delphos Wesleyan Church.
