Richard L Culp

Richard (Dick) L. Culp, 77, of Delphos, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born on December 7, 1940, to Lloyd and Marcile (Moreo) who both preceded him in death.  He was united in marriage on January 8, 1966, to Etta B. Diltz who survives in Delphos

Dick is also survived by two daughters, Angie (Eric) Carder and Brenda (Cory) Rode, both of Delphos; one brother, Bill (LaDonna) Culp of Delphos; four grandchildren, Austin, Devyn, Jesse, and Riley; sister in law, Joan Culp of Delphos; and brother in law, Bob Roehm of Delphos. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Culp, and a sister, Jeanette Roehm. 

Dick was a graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School.  He was a member of the National Guard and retired from International Harvester where he had worked for over 29 years.  He was also a member of the Delphos Eagles Aerie 471, and the Black Swamp Rifle Club.  Dick did not like to sit still.  He always wanted to be working on something.  He loved old cars, his Cub Cadet, gardening, and riding his bike.  He was very caring and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren

Funeral Services will be held at Harter & Schier Funeral Home on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Rev. Pam Geise will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Delphos Wesleyan Church.
