My deepest sympathies and condolences to the Robert Schmit family. Your father fed the families of Delphos through his market, protected the families of Delphos through his Insurance Agency, and helped all of Delphos through his volunteering, An excellent legacy! Heaven has welcomed home a good man.

I first knew and loved Bob and Pat in the 80's & 90's when I was Director/Sec'y-Trsr for Farmers' Mutual Aid Assn of Van Wert County Ohio, which was a 'Joint' company with Ohio Mutual - United Ohio Insurance. Of course, Bob & Pat also had long ties as a ‘Joint’ company through German Mutual Insurance along with a myriad other fellow 'Joint' companies.
We became fast friends, for to know Bob and Pat was to love them. They blessed my life beyond measure not just for the invaluable insight and input in the realm of insurance and in the precious relationship we shared - but by the very virtue of their relationship with each other and with their insureds, colleagues, friends and acquaintances. Though they were experts in their field they were meek and humble and kind and Christ-like in all their ways to all people. They have made an indelible mark upon my life and have certainly made our world a better place.
I thank God with all my heart for the treasure He gave me through the privilege of knowing them and working with them and I will miss them until we meet again.
