Rosemary “Rosie” B. Kohorst, 85, of Delphos, passed away surround by her loving family on Friday, October 13, 2023, at her residence. She was born November 24, 1937, in Landeck, OH, to Harold and Clara (Schimmoeller) Ashby. They both preceded her in death. On February 4, 1960, she was united in marriage to Floyd “Bill” Kohorst. He preceded her in death on September 28, 1996.
Rosie is survived by daughter, Karen Rowland of Delphos; sons, Michael Kohorst, Sr. of Delphos and Kevin (Karen Mahan) Kohorst of Spencerville; brother, Charlie (Margaret “Marg”) Ashby of Delphos; sisters, Margie Deitering of Dayton, Ruth Ann (Joe) Rupert, and Alice Krouse both of Delphos; six grandchildren, Michael Jr. (Aldea) and Crystal Kohorst, Marissa (Nate) Traxler and Miranda (Scott) Keena, and Dakota and Tyler Kohorst; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Scotty, Eleanor Keena, and Ava, Emma and Mya Traxler, Kalea Burk, Malina, Allessa, and Serenity Kohorst; and sister-in-law, Mary Ashby of Indiana.
Rosie was preceded in death by brother, Gene Ashby; brothers-in-law, Herman Deitering and Jerry Krouse; her Godchild, Kathleen Ashby; and nephew, Timothy Ashby.
Rosie worked at Eagle Print for over 37 years. She was also an assistant Girl Scout leader. Rosie cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and watching her shows on TV.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, October 16, 2023, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm with a Wake Service at 7:30 pm on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
