Sally A. Dickerhoof, 85, of Delphos, passed away on December 27, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born August 18, 1938, to Edward and Mildred (Strine) Schmunk. They preceded her in death. On May 26, 1956, she married Max Dickerhoof. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1992.
She is survived by her daughters; Melinda “Mindy” Moreland of Delphos and Bette (Mark) Long of Marco Island, Florida; grandchildren, Maria (Jon) Diltz, Rocky (Bobbi) Klaus, Marcie (Chris) Ricker, Derek (Emily) Klaus, Mindy (Dave Pratt) Dickerhoof, Kassie Dickerhoof, Jacob Long, Rebecca (Anthony Howe) Long, and Melinda Long. Sally had 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Larry Dickerhoof and a special sister in-law Sherry Subler.
She was also preceded in death by her son Tim and her grandson Jesse Dickerhoof and brothers Jack Schmunk and Jerry Schmunk.
Sally graduated from Sherwood Delaware High School. She was a member of Delphos Eagles, Aerie #471. She was the owner of Annie’s Fabrics and Crafts. She enjoyed flower gardening quilting, sewing and enjoyed going to casinos with family and friends. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids who made her smile every day.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Pastor Chuck Schmunk, who is Sally’s nephew, will officiate. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.
