Walter Andrew “Butch” Remlinger, 70, of Delphos, passed away January 6, 2024, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s. He was born June 3, 1953, in Lima, OH, to William and Helen (Lindeman) Remlinger. They both preceded him in death.
Butch is survived by brothers, William “Ted” (Kitty) Remlinger of Hilton Head, SC and Tom (Ann, deceased) Remlinger of Fishers, IN; nephews, Rob, AJ, and Morgan (Kelsey) Remlinger; and niece, Rachel (David) Remlinger.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Raymond and Florence Lindeman; paternal grandparents, Walter and Martha Remlinger; and sister in law, Ann Remlinger.
Butch was a registered Pharmacist who graduated from the Ohio State University. He was a fourth generation pharmacist. Butch retired in 1983. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, APHA, and OPA. He was an alumnus of CHI PHI Fraternity at Ohio State University, and was also the President in 1974. He was a past board member of the Citizens Federal Savings and Loan. He enjoyed tinkering with high end stereo equipment and was a JBL fan.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
