Carla Grothouse

Carla Grothouse, 65, of Delphos, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

She was born on April 28, 1953, in Lima to Robert and Ruth (Feathers) Keeling. They both preceded her in death.  On June 7, 1974, she was united in marriage to Tim Grothouse who recently passed away on January 28, 2019.

Carla is survived by one daughter, Kerry (Rick Jr.) Burris of Delphos; two grandchildren, Connor and Madison Burris; three brothers, Robert (Rena) Keeling, Kenneth Keeling, and Kevin Keeling, all of Delphos; two sisters, Connie Truesdale and Sue Osenga both of Delphos.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, a daughter, Heather Grothouse; and a brother, Ronald Keeling.

Carla was a graduate of Delphos Jefferson.  She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Carla was a housewife and mother, and enjoyed sewing and crafting.  She also loved to watch old movies and television shows. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m.  Father Douglas Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 on Wednesday, April 24, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home with a parish wake at 6:30.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Interfaith Thrift Shop.
