Helen B. Bendele

Helen B. Bendele, 2 months shy of 100, of Delphos, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Van Crest of Delphos.

She was born on December 1, 1917, in Delphos to Frank and Laura (Bonifas) Buecker. She was   united in marriage on April 27, 1943 to Thomas Bendele who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by four daughters, Mary (Larry) Teman of Delphos, Kathryn Plescher of Delphos, Margaret (Donald) Suever of Delphos, and Jane (Jim) Reiselman of Lima; and 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and one son-in-law Noel Critchfield of Van Wert.

She is preceded in death by one daughter Ann Critchfield, one brother Louis Buecker, and one sister Agnes Buecker.

She was a Homemaker and had also worked at Pangles as a Cashier.  She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. She enjoyed counted cross stitch, reading and puzzles.

Funeral Services will be at Harter & Schier Funeral Home on Monday, October 2, 2017, at 11am with visitation one hour prior.   Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, October 1, 2017, from 2-8pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Delphos Public Library.
