Helen (Himmeger) Mullenhour, 88, of Delphos passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, March 8, 2018, surrounded by her family.
She was born February 14, 1930, in Delphos to Clarence and Charlotte (Weathers) Himmeger. She was united in marriage on August 21, 1949, to William “Bill” Mullenhour, who survives.
She is survived by her son, Bill (Bonnie) Mullenhour of Delphos; her daughter Debbie (Carl) Nenadal of Twinsburg; five grandchildren, Kyle (Katie), Kory (Tamara), and Kala Mullenhour, Brent (April) Nenadal, and Erin (Ryan) Tong; and seven great-grandsons, Austin, Oliver, Barrett, Simon, Kelton, Lucas, and Koyd.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; Lee, Earl, and Ivan; and a sister, Evelyn.
She was a 1949 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School and spent her life as a homemaker.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and in the past she was very active teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, doing bake sales and cooking funeral dinners and sunrise breakfasts. She was a past PTA member, den mother and very active with the Delphos Jefferson Band Boosters. She was supportive and involved with her children and grandchildren’s activities. Helen would help anyone in need, a behind the scenes person.
Funeral services will be held at Harter & Schier Funeral Home on Monday, March 12, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. The officiating minister will be John Rager. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
