Helen M. Wiechart

Helen M. Wiechart, of Elida, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Van Crest Health Care Center in Delphos.   Helen was born on September 8, 1930, in Delphos, to Forest and Bessie Fought.  Both preceded her in death.   She was united in marriage on Feb. 2, 1952 to Edmund J. Wiechart, a U.S. Army Veteran.  They were married for 59 years.  Helen was a 25 year Elida childcare provider.

Survivors include two loved sons, Wayne W. (Linda) Wiechart of Hendersonville, NC, and Jan D (Gloria) Wiechart of Wapakoneta; 3 grandsons, Phil (Krista), Andrew (Amy) and Aaron (Abby) Wiechart; 4 great grandchildren and her half brother Chuck (Grace) Wells and many nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death were her parents; and sisters, Margaret Fair, Naomi Neth and half sister Barbara Fought Horn. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.  Services will be held on Saturday December 2, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Bruce Tumblin will officiate.  Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the charitable cause of your choice.
