Jeffrey J Martin

Jeffrey J Martin, 61, of Gomer, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, March 30, 2018.

He was born in Lima, on February 6, 1957, to Jerry and Elinor (Nusbaum) Martin.  Both preceded him in death.  On May 14, 1976, he was united in marriage to Donna Buettner.  She survives in Gomer. 

He is also survived by three daughters, Jenni Martin of Gomer, Jeani (Scott) Dredge of Dublin and Joni (Aaron) Yost of Goshen, IN; one son, Jordan Martin of Gomer; one sister, Sue (Mark) Wannemacher of Delphos; one brother, Tom (Sherry) Martin of Loudon, TN; three grandchildren, TJ Martin and Jade and Marty Dredge; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Jeffrey drove truck for over 30 years as an owner and operator.  He was a member of Gomer Congregational Church and was a 1975 graduate of Elida High School.  Jeffrey’s contagious and continuous smile will be deeply missed.  He adored his family especially his grandchildren and cherished their frequent family gatherings.  He enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, cooking, grilling, and doing projects with his wife. He took great pride in making his lawn look perfect and sitting on the back porch enjoying the view.

His celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Gomer Congregational Church.  Rev. Jim Wilder will officiate.  An open house visitation will be held in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service until 8:00 p.m.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
