John was a farmer and truck driver. More than that, he was a man who spent his life helping others so much that he was known as “Good Guy” because of his many acts of kindness. He was often seen driving his John Deere Lawnmower around town as he would mow many people’s lawns that needed mowed. In the winter he would remove snow so that kids could walk to school easier. He would have given the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He loved gardening, and being with his nieces and nephews. He always took them to get candy and pop.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and a 1972 graduate of St. John’s. He was very strong in his faith.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Father Scott Perry will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
