Karen S. Nomina, 73, of Delphos, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born July 31, 1945, in Middle Point to Ernest and Clara (Cale) White. She was united in marriage on December 14, 1963, to William Nomina, he survives in Delphos.
She is survived by two sons, Michael “Ryan” Nomina and Derek Nomina both of Delphos; daughter, Kelly (Brendan) Barr of Columbus; brother, Larry (Marcia) White of Delphos; sister, Shirley Ditto of Delphos; and two grandchildren, Maisie and Declan.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen “Joan” Lane; brother, Jack White; and a brother-in-law, Ron Ditto.
Karen was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, where she had been active and she was a Delphos Jefferson High School graduate. She was a past member of the Eagles, the Garden Club, and had volunteered at the Thrift Shop. She was a house wife, had worked at Eagle Print, and as a service observer for the telephone company. Karen loved gardening, flowers, bowling, cards, dominos, but most important she loved the time spent playing with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior to the service at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Pastor Steve Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, August 17, 2018, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
