Ladonna A. Klima, 95, of Delphos, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at The Meadows of Delphos.
She was born November 20, 1923, in Delphos to Anthony and Catherine (Didion) Clement. They both preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on August 20, 1946, to Vincent C. Klima; he preceded her in death on June 2, 2003.
She is survived by a son, Charles W. (Mariana) Klima of Texas; a daughter, Diane Van Horn of AZ; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic church, Catholic Ladies of Columbia council #40, former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Life member of the VFW #3035, life member of the Delphos Canal Commission, and the American Ex. Prisoner of War Aux. She attended school for eight years in a one room school house and was a 1942 graduate of Delphos Jefferson. Ladonna worked in sales for various stores in the Delphos area, but mostly worked side by side with her husband Vince on their farm. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, playing card games, bingo, volunteering at the thrift shop, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Father Douglas Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday January 11, 2019, from 4-7 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. a CL of C service will be at 4:00, VFW Aux. service at 4:15, and a Parish Wake will begin at 6:30 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. John’s Parish Foundation or St. Rita’s Hospice.
