Lucille V. Becker

Lucille V. Becker, 91, of Delphos, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at The Meadows of Delphos.

She was born on November 6, 1927, in Elida to Leo and Clara (Schulte) Omlor.  On June 15, 1949, she was united in marriage to William J. Becker.  He preceded her in death on December 19, 1977.

She is survived by four sons, William John (Debbie) Becker of Moyock, NC, Thomas E. (Mary Jo) Becker,  Joseph L. (Diana) Becker, and Edward R. Becker, all of Delphos; a son-in-law, David (Kristen) Elwer of Lima; sister-in-law, Margaret Koester of Delphos; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Rode; nine grandchildren, Jason (Beth) Becker, Billy (ShayLynn) Becker, Rachel (Eric) Fleck, Ben (Kylie) Becker, Andy (Danielle) Becker, Nikki (Ned) Bockrath, Natalie (Zach) Curth, Stacey (Matt) Goecke and Aaron (Emily) Becker; great- grandchildren, Keegan, Lily, Clara, and Boston Goecke, Gavin, Eleece, Sophia, and Levi Becker, Emmalyn and Kaitlyn Becker, Gracie and Tristen Becker, Robert and Will Fleck, Eleanor and Calvin Becker, Evelyn and Johanna Becker, Harrison and Maggie Bockrath, and Elaine Curth; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucia A. Elwer; sisters, Esther (Hillary) Bielawski, Dolores (Eugene) Fischbach, LaDonna (Paul) Keller, Jeannie (Tony) Niedecken, and Virginia (Doyt Cox) Rode; and brother-in-law, Maynard Koester.

She was a member St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church; the Delphos VFW #3035, the Delphos Eagles #471, and the American Legion #268. Lucille was a homemaker who loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. 

A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday, August 2, from 2:00-8:00 at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.  A parish wake will be held at 7:30.   Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Parish Foundation.
