Lucille Hiiesalu

Lucille Hiiesalu, 93, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Colonial Nursing Home in Rockford, OH. She was born December 11, 1924, in Rockford to Charles and Molly (Germann) Schumm.  She was united in marriage to Heldur Hiiesalu on July 6, 1952; he preceded her in death on March 29, 2007.

She is survived by three nieces who were her caregivers, Jill Yoder, Susan Hull and Sheryl Harner; and many other nieces and nephews including  great, and great-great nieces and nephews whom she loved spending time with. She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Hiiesalu; brothers, Charles, Fred, and Herbert Schumm; and sister Virginia Crabtree.

Lucille was a member of Good Shephard Lutheran Church in Toledo.  She graduated from Ohio School of Deaf in Columbus.  She was a housewife who dearly loved her family. 

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos with visitation one hour before. Pastor Shirrel Petzoldt will officiate.  A private burial will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018, at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
