Agnes M. Ulm, 91, passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at The Meadows of Delphos. She was born in Kalida, OH, on September 15, 1929, to Frank and Mary (Miller) Wehri. They both preceded her in death. On October 20, 1951, she was united in marriage to William Ulm. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1992. They had six children: Dorothy (Carl) Kohorst of Delphos, Barbara Anderson of Bothell, WA, Bob (Kathy) Ulm of Delphos, Nancy (Joe) Grote of Kalida, and Laurie Ulm of Findlay. A daughter, Sue (Dennis) Hickey, is deceased.
Agnes had 10 grandchildren: Jodie Watson, Melissa Knepper, Corinne White, Denise Anderson, Gina Moody, Doug Hickey, Kristen Killion, Matt Grote, and Chad Grote. A grandson, Eric Ulm, is deceased. She was also very proud of her 18 great-grandchildren.
Her other survivors include her brother, Hubert (Joyce) Wehri of Kalida, and sisters, Lucille Schroeder of Glandorf, Jean Boecker of Ottoville, and Joan (Richard) Seimet of Ottawa. Preceding her in death were brothers, Gilbert and Cletus Wehri; sisters, Leona Youngpeter, Luella Wehri, Margaret Dickman, Rosemary Clementz, and Mary Ann Kaple.
Agnes was a teacher for Allen County Head Start in Delphos and Lima for 38 ½ years, retiring at age 76 after she suffered a stroke.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. The family requests that mask and social distancing be observed at the Mass. Funeral Mass may be viewed via livestream at time of service at www.delphosstjohnparish.org.
