Alice J. “Jean” Klaus, 84, of Delphos, passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at 5:00 a.m. at her residence.
She was born September 22, 1935, to John and Beatrice “Bea” (Foust) Keist who both preceded her in death. On September 4, 1965, she was united in marriage to Charles Klaus. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2007. .
She is survived by two daughters, Roberta “Bobbi” (David) Wessel of Delphos and Jennifer (Rodney Monfort) Mellott of Delphos; two sisters, Eileen (Denny) Sheets of TN., and Catherine (Warren) Kossman, of IN; seven grandchildren, April (Jack White) Klaus, Chelsea Robbins, Adam (Erin Hohlbein) Schimmoeller, Zach Klaus, Desiree (Dominic) Ardner, LaDonna (Nick Noggler) Monfort and William Neeley II and seven great-grandchildren, Jack White Jr., Drake White, Isabell Robinns, Konnor Klaus, Kylie Klaus, Chloe Ardner, and Raelynn Monfort; and a sister-in-law, Chris Heisten of Rome, OH.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Heisten, and Leonard and Kenneth Keist; and one sister Claudia Keist.
Alice attended Delphos Wesleyan Church. She was a homemaker and loved to do puzzle books. She was an avid reader of Danielle Steele books, and loved watching Chuck Norris and Live P.D. Alice was a breast cancer survivor.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Pamela Geise will officiate. Visitation will be that same day from 2:00 until the time of service. She will be buried at Mohr Cemetery in Scott, OH at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
