Allen C. Brown

Allen C. Brown, 91, of Delphos, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at The Meadows of Delphos. He was born April 25, 1933, in Lima, to Milburn and Ruth (Carr) Brown. They both preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Patricia McDonel on June 23, 1956. She preceded him in death on November 20, 2020.

Allen survived by sons, Darrin R. Brown of Columbus, Gregory A. Brown of Wapakoneta, his daughters, Lisa Waldron of Delphos, Cheryl (Martin) Ramirez of Midland, TX; nine grandchildren; Heather, Bryan, Meaghan, Ashley, Matthew, Carina, Shannon, Ryan and Joshua; 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Carol Purdy of MO.

Allen was a Loan Officer and Branch Manager for City Loans in Lima for 40 years. He was stationed in Korea from 1953-1955 while serving in the United States Army and earned several meritorious awards. Allen was a member of Trinity Methodist Church and a Life Member of the VFW Post #3035. Since high school, Allen has sung in choral quartets. He was a member of the Leaning Towers Quartet. Allen was a Civil War buff, loved genealogy, art sketching, and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He always put his family first. Allen never met a stranger and was very well-liked in his community. Allen was a wonderful dad with a great sense of humor.

A Celebration of Life will be held later in the spring.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Trinity Methodist Church Building Fund.
