Anthony V. Martin

Anthony “Tony” V. Martin, 70, of Delphos, passed away at 8:53 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born March 15, 1950, in Lima, OH, to Howard and Helen (Coon) Martin. They preceded him in death. On June 22, 1968, he was united in marriage to Virginia “Ginger” Sheeter. She survives in Delphos.

Anthony is survived by his daughters, Julie Martin and Lisa Cross both of Delphos, OH; two grandsons, Ryan Sevitz, and Kaden Cross; and one great-granddaughter, Avonelle Sevitz.

Anthony retired from Fruehauf Corporation after 22 years of service.  He worked in several departments over the years, retiring as foremen.

Anthony loved to fish and was an avid deer hunter.  He enjoyed traveling with his family taking them on trips out West, to a house boat trip in Canada.  His favorite spot was the floodwaters of Fletcher Pond in Michigan.  Tony was a 1968 graduate of Delphos Jefferson where he played football.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
