Armando Hernandez, 55, of Delphos, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at his residence.
He was born on July 24, 1964, in Traverse City, MI to Miguel Sr. and Beatriz (Rodriguez) Hernandez. Both survive in Defiance. On August 15, 1987, he was united in marriage to Yolanda Bejarano. She survives in Delphos.
Armando is also survived by two daughters, Miranda (Paul Santos) Hernandez of Van Wert, and Yesenia (Noe) Martinez of Delphos; four brothers, Martin (Alicia) Hernandez of Dallas, TX, Mario (Leslie) Hernandez, Renaud Hernandez, and Miguel Hernandez Jr., all of Defiance; a sister, Linda (Martin) Hernandez of Defiance; three grandchildren, Alejandro Santos, Abe and Isabela Martinez, and one grandchild on the way.
Armando was a machinist at Eaton for 25 years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of Eagles#471 and The VFW post 3035. Family meant everything to Armando. With them he loved to grill and be outside, and he was often outside taking care of his yard. He also loved to dance and play pool, and loved concerts and Tejano music.
A funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Father Dennis Walsh will officiate. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, September 23, 2019, from 2-8 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. There will be a rosary service and a parish wake to begin at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Parish Foundation.
