Beverly Haunhorst

Beverly Haunhorst, 69, of Lima, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 10, 1952, in Van Wert, OH, to Donovan, Sr. and Norma Jean (Van Scooter) Anspach.  Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Delphos. She was united in marriage to Alan Haunhorst on July 22, 1972. He survives in Lima.

Bev is survived by sons, Chad (Tamara) Haunhorst of Elida and Dustin (Danessa) Haunhorst of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Robert Anspach of Kalida and Don Anspach of Delphos; sisters, Karen Patterson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Diane Roeder and Ruth Verhoff both of Delphos; sisters-in-law, Sandra Benroth of Elida, Rene Hoehn of Delphos, Lisa Menke of Middle Point, Dina Mauk of Delphos, and Darci Brubaker of Columbus Grove; brothers-in-law, Shane Haunhorst of OH and Quint Haunhorst of Delphos; and four grandchildren, Mahlon, Marley, Dagan and Rhealee.

Bev was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Kim Haunhorst and Dan Hoehn; and two granddaughters, Miley and McKenzie Haunhorst.

Bev was a graduate of Delphos Jefferson and the St. Rita’s School of Surgical Technology. She worked as a surgical tech for over 40 years at various local hospitals. She was a Life Member of the Delphos VFW Post 3035 Auxiliary. In her spare time, she loved to sew, make crafts, bake and spend time with her grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Father Charles Obinwa will officiate. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
