Bonnie S. (Tanner) Berry

Bonnie S. Berry, 75, of Delphos, passed away peacefully at her residence August 1, 2025. She was born October 6, 1949, in Wauseon, OH, to Charles and Arlean (Hayes) Tanner who preceded her in death.  She was united in marriage on April 19, 1986, to Thomas J. Berry, who survives in Delphos.

Bonnie is also survived by four daughters, Laurie (Lee) Steinke of Pioneer, OH, Kristin (Jay) Moran of Toledo, OH, Stephanie (Gary) Teman of Delphos, OH, and Jennifer (Scott) Moenter of Delphos, OH; eight grandchildren, Hannah (Neal) Miller, Haleigh DeWyer, Tessa Steinke, Courtney (Tyler Bratton) Teman, Trent Teman, Gwen Teman, Grace Moenter, and Jacob Moenter; a brother, Allen “Butch” Tanner; two sisters, Pat Yoh, and Jackie Tanner; as well as, several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, David Tanner; and a sister, Diane Schneider.

Bonnie retired from Nash Finch after many years of service.  She started her career as a meat cutter at a hometown store, working her way to the top as a meat buyer.  Bonnie was the first woman in the United States to accomplish that title at a national food chain level.  She took great pride in her sewing projects and was always ready to teach anyone who wanted to learn. Bonnie enjoyed supporting her grandchildren and had a love for animals. She enjoyed regular visits with her grand dogs, Rhett and Charlie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.  Burial will be held privately at a later date.  Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Vancrest Rehab Center or Mercy Health Neuroscience Rehabilitation Center.
