Brian Finnen, 57, of Menden passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hamilton County on September 3, 1967, to Leo and Dorothy (Kemper) Finnen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jody; son Shawn Finnen of St. Mary’s; daughters, Kaia Morey of North Carolina, Stephanie (Jarrod) Eshelman of Menden, Tiffany(Bradley) Finnen of Alabama, Wendy Wynn of Delphos, and Tralisa Smith of Delphos; brothers, Darren Finnin of Toledo, John Finnin, of Minster, and Kenneth (Leslie) Westerbeck of St. Mary’s; sister, Leah (Chris) Kettner of St. Mary’s; 14 grandchildren, Alexander, Audiesti, Dameon, Dametri, Lyllian, Blake, Kalea, Camden, Eliana, Jason, Jaxstyn, Skylah, Nova, and Little Jack.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.
Brian graduated from Minster High School. He served in the Army and the Ohio National Guard. Brian was a self-employed dry-waller. He enjoyed being in nature, fishing, hunting, and camping. Brian loved his family, especially being with his kids, grandkids, and his dog, Roxy.
On Tuesday November 12, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., there will be a service of military honors at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, followed by a gathering of family and friends to share memories at the Rustic Cafe.
