Carl Miller

Carl E. Miller, 68, of Delphos, passed away at 6:09 p.m., on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Richard Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus.  He was born December 4, 1953, to Russel E. and Betty (Beech) Miller. They preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his sister:  Jennie Miller.

Carl is survived by his brother Russell (Barbara) Thompson of Lima; two nephews, Garrett and Trevor Thompson; two nieces, Heather and Angie Thompson; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Carl was a 1972 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. He worked as a manager and chef at several restaurants, a manager at Speedway, and custodian at the Delphos Interfaith Thrift Shop.   

He enjoyed being of service to others.  He was an organist and pianist, playing for his church, weddings, and funerals.  He was talented at cake decorating, floral arranging, and many arts and crafts.  He was also a great chef.  He often blessed his family and friends with tasty dishes. 

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.  Pastor Paul Scannell will officiate.  Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday August 31, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral service. 

Memorial donations can be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, and Elida or Delphos Interfaith Thrift shops.
