Charles H. Broecker

Charles H. Broecker, 88, of Ft. Jennings, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at his residence. Charles was born July 21, 1933, in Fort Jennings, OH, to Henry and Lauretta (Ellerbrock) Broecker. They both preceded him in death.

Charles is survived by his brothers, Roger (Alice) Broecker, Paul (Mary Jo) Broecker, and Jim (Jeanette) Broecker all of Ft. Jennings; his sister, Betty (Richard) Miller of Ottoville; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis “Butch” and Donald Broecker; and his sisters, Ruth Grote and Catherine McGraw, and his long time companion, Henrietta Landin.

Charles was a graduate of Fort Jennings High School. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Sons of Legion. He worked for Jennings Township. Charles also served in the United States Army during peacetime.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Jennings, OH. Visitation will be held at the church, one hour prior to mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Hospice.
