Charles "Chuck" Schlatman

Charles “Chuck” H. Schlatman, 65, of Delphos, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 22, 1959, in Lima, to Orland D. and Lois W. (Schabbing) Schlatman, who preceded him in death.

Charles was a member of the Delphos Wesleyan Church. He had worked at New Delphos and US Fiber. Charles took great joy in working on lawn mowers and bicycles. He loved helping people out. Charles collected model cars and enjoyed putting them together and was proud of the final results.

He is survived by his brother, David O. Schlatman; sisters, Lynda Reynolds Fair, and Cheryl Tarango; five nephews, Nick Reynolds, Mike Adams, David E. Schlatman, Timothy Schlatman, and Andy Kohorst; a special niece, Jaymee Sevitz; and special great-nephews, Ryan Wittler and Boston Reynolds.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sally Jo O’riggs; and special brother –in- law, Virgil Tarango.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Haddix will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 11 to the time of service at 2:00 pm on Monday.
