Cheryl A. Wessel

Cheryl A. Wessel, 60, of Delphos, passed away at 11:11 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at her residence. She was born January 9, 1961, to Mallard and Flora (Skidgel) Ireland, in Presque Isle, Maine. They preceded her in death. On October 4, 2001, she was united in marriage to Bruce Wessel. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2020.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Brianna Hafford of Cincinnati; one step-son, Billy Wessel of Delphos; one step-daughter, Nikki (Phillip Slygh) Wessel of Delphos; four brothers, Keith (Leslie) Ireland, Ernest Ireland, Kevin Ireland, and Randy Ireland; one sister, Susan (Russell) Dyer; two grandchildren, Emilee Stuteville and Jason Rosenback, Jr.

Cheryl received her Associate’s Degree from Northern Maine Community College. She was a Purchasing Specialist for K & M Tire for 20 years. Cheryl enjoyed playing card and board games, puzzle books, and watching cooking shows. She loved shopping and could smell a bargain from 100 feet away. Cheryl relished spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids, sitting around a fire pit.

Memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. A private interment and memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Delphos Relay for Life or St. Rita’s Hospice.
