Dale E. Derrow, 77, of Delphos, passed away at 4:12 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s. He was born August 5, 1943, in Wampum, PA, to Harold and Juanita (DeLong) Derrow. They both preceded him in death. On May 23, 1964, he was united in marriage to Beverly Vondran. They had been married for 56 years. She survives in Delphos.
Dale is survived by four daughters, Julie (Doug) Fitch, Kathy (Steve) Vorst, Shelly (Fred) Hasting, and Cindy (Kevin) Weitzel all of Delphos; half-brother, Chuck Mann of Pensacola, FL; 12 grandchildren: Andy (Abby) Fitch, Nick Fitch, Sarah Fitch, Anna Fitch, Jordan (Angela) Vorst, Amanda (Grant Brand) Vorst, Allyson Hasting, Jim Hasting, Sam Hasting, Megan Weitzel, Maddie Weitzel, Matt Weitzel, and three great-grandchildren: Lilly Ketcham, Eli Fitch, and Owen Fitch.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Sam Derrow.
Dale was the building manager for 25 years at the Raabe College of Pharmacy at ONU. He graduated from Lincolnview High School, Class of 1962. He was a member of the Delphos Eagles Aerie #471, past president of Delphos Lions Club, Brown Backers. He enjoyed woodworking and cheering on the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved going to the lake with his family.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
