David A. Eccard, 61, of Elida, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s. He was born August 7, 1962, in Lima, to John and Jacqueline (Doudna) Eccard. His father preceded him in death in 2020 and his mother survives in Cloverdale.

David is survived by his children, Danielle, Deonna, Dianna, Devon, and Derek Eccard; sisters, Terri (Bob Norbeck) Sheeter of Lima, Stephanie (Brian) Plaugher of Lima, Cheryl (Hank) Wegesin of Middle Point, Deanna (Jim) Williams of Delphos, and Jennifer (Jimmy Jones) Looser of South Charleston; brother, Todd (Dawn) Eccard of Van Wert; special friend, June Smith; and several grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by a brother, Dana Eccard; a sister, Denise Eccard; and two nephews, Andrew Sheeter and Tristan Leach.

David will be missed dearly, especially his laugh, by his loving family.

Funeral Services will be held at 7 pm on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
