David Schuerman, 51, of Ft. Jennings, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Ross Heart Hospital. He was born August 3, 1970, in Lima to Connie Leonhart and Robert Schuerman. He was later adopted by James and Irma Ricker.
He is survived by his daughter, Katlyn Schuerman of Bryan; a sister Dawn (Craig) Murphy of Ft. Jennings; three brothers, Ryan (Angelique) Leonhart of Indian Lake, Jason Schuerman of Payne, and Adam (Shirley) Leonhart of Wills Point, TX; a lifelong friend, Patricia Hipsher of Ft. Jennings; two grandchildren and one on the way; six nieces and eight nephews.
David was preceded in death by both his mother, Connie, and his parents, James and Irma. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Schuerman.
David was a 1988 graduate of Ft. Jennings High School. He received an associate’s degree in HVAC from The University of Northwestern Ohio in 2015. He worked for Quality Mechanical Services in Lima as an HVAC and Generator Technician. However, music was his life. He had a DJ and Karaoke business called “Sweet Sounds.” He had also run sound for the band, Kodebreaker. David’s gift of getting to know others amazed his family because no matter where they traveled with him (even out of the country) he would run into acquaintances. He loved people. He was a simple man with biggest heart imaginable who had a special way of forgiving and loving others.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 that same day.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
