Dennis Eugene Burden went home to be with Jesus, on October 31, 2025. He was born March 29, 1951 in Lima, Ohio, to Charles Milton and Norma Louise (Humes) Burden. They both preceded him in death. On January 29, 2005 he married Bernice Robin Maxwell, she survives in Delphos.
He is also survived by his children: Carrie Anne Burden of Lima, Sara Marie Bolenbaugh of Decatur, Indiana, grandchildren: Tyler Burden, Devin Burden, Ashton Burden, Jaden Burden, Sage Burden, Blaze Bolenbaugh, great-grandchildren: Hunter, Kaylee, Zephaniah, Rosalee, Micah, brothers and sisters: Charles (Gloria) Burden of Bourbon, Missouri, Jerry (Jeannie) Burden of Lima, Vickie Hollar of Lima, Sandy (Jerry) Hunt of Lima, and Donald (Diana) Burden of Texarkana, Arkansas. Dennis is also survived by several nieces and nephews
He is also preceded in death by his son-in-law Lance Bolenbaugh and Brother-in-law: Carl Hollar.
Dennis graduated from Bath High School in 1969. He worked at Buckeye Rubber from April 1969 until they closed. He then worked at Rudolph Foods retiring in 2018 after 13 years. He attended Delphos Christian Union Church. Dennis was a simple man whose family was most important to him. He was a big NASCAR fan, an avid Cleveland Browns fan as well as a huge Ohio State Buckeye football fan. Dennis loved animals, especially dogs and cats. He also loved his Mustangs. Dennis will always be remembered for his great sense of humor especially on the sarcastic side.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Pastor Solomon Okang will officiate. Burial will follow immediately at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
