Donald F. Markward

Donald F. Markward, 91, of Delphos, OH, passed away at 3:55 p.m., on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Vancrest of Delphos. He was born February 17, 1930, in Putnam County, OH, to Fred C. and Christine (Wiechart) Markward. They both preceded him in death. Donald was united in marriage to Isabelle Rellinger on November 13, 1954. She preceded him in death on May 11, 2016.

Don is survived by his son, Philip (Mary) Markward, of The Villages, FL; a brother, Elmer (Rosemary) Markward; and a sister, Mary Ann Liebrecht.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, Charles Markward; and a sister, Mildred Wittler.

Don was a U.S. Army Veteran; serving from 1951-1953. He worked at Fruehauf Corporation and retired after 36 years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, VFW Post 3035, Eagles Aerie #471, and a member of the Association for Retarded Citizens of Allen County.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos, OH. Burial will be held privately. Visitation will be held from 2-7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
