Edward "Ed" R. Becker

Edward “Ed” Becker, 68, of Delphos, passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 16, 2023. He was born October 16, 1954, to William Joseph and Lucille (Omlor) Becker, in Lima, OH. They both preceded him in death.

Ed is survived by his children, Jason (Beth) Becker of Grand Island, FL, and Rachel (Eric) Fleck of Tiffin, OH; six grandchildren, Emma, Kaitlyn, William, Grace, Tristan, and Robert; three brothers, William John (Debby) Becker of North Carolina, Tom (Mary Jo) Becker of Delphos, and Joe (Diane) Becker of Spencerville; and brother-in-law, Dave (Kristin) Elwer of Columbus.

Ed was also preceded in death by his sister, Lucy Elwer.

Ed was a welder for 47 ½ years. He worked for Fruehauf for 28 ½ years and Unverferth Manufacturing for 15 years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos Eagles Aerie #471, Sons of American Legion, and auxiliary member of VFW Post #3035. Ed’s passion was riding pleasure horses. He participated in antique car shows for many years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 10 am to 2 pm, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
