Elizabeth Brown

Elizabeth Brown, 92, of Delphos, passed away at 2:55 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at The Meadows of Delphos. She was born in Lima, OH, on October 31, 1928, to Ben and Rose (Schmitz) Allen. They both preceded her in death. In 1946, she was united in marriage to Harold “Brownie” Brown. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2011.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Lawrence (Beth) Brown of Delphos and Sondra (Henry) Carter of Ft. Wayne; siblings, Dale (Donna) Allen of GA, Gerald Allen, Evelyn Brinsfield of Middle Point, Melda Votz of Waco, TX; five grandchildren, Alexandria (Eric Buescher) Brown, Machelle Sheffor, Lori Carder, Chris (Becky) Carder, and Hayden Brown; two great-grandchildren, Jack Carder and Adam Sheffor.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brothers, Vernon Allen and Bruce Allen; and her sisters, Linda Bendele and Ladonna Barnes.

Elizabeth worked for Huffy for 10 years. She then went on to work at The Chateau with her husband, Brownie, for 30 years.

Services will be held privately, per Elizabeth’s wishes, at a later date.
