Elizabeth “Beth” L. Gener, 76, of Delphos, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Vancrest of Delphos surrounded by her family. She was born January 20, 1946, in Lima, OH, to Felix and Margaret (Sterling) Wieging. They both preceded her in death. Beth was united in marriage to the love of her life, Willard “Bill” Stant. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1988. She was then united in marriage to Thomas Gener until he passed on April 9, 1999.
Beth is survived by her daughters, Tammy Stant of Lima, Kelly (Eric) Brock of St. Marys, and Tracey Stant of Lima; her son, Steven Stant of Delphos; 13 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren who loved her.
Beth was also preceded in death by her sister, Jeanette Brown.
Beth was an LPN and taking care of geriatric patients was her passion for over 25 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed making crafts, writing, drawing, painting, and watching old Westerns. Later in life, she befriended Helen Duebler and Peggy Long at Vancrest where they loved to play Bingo and put puzzles together. The family would like to say a special thank you to Vancrest and their staff for all of the wonderful care Beth received over the years. Also, thank you to St. Rita’s Hospice for their care.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Fort Jennings. Visitation will be held from 2 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, with a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m.
