Garry R. McBride

Garry Ray McBride, 80, of Delphos, passed away at 6:22 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at his residence. He was born June 15, 1940 in Spencerville, OH to Reginald and Delores (Gaberdiel) McBride. They both preceded him in death. On June 18, 1960, he was united in marriage to Wilma Druckemiller. She survives in Delphos.

Garry is survived by three sons, Gary Ray (Richard Blair) McBride, Jr. of Wears Valley, TN, Scott Douglas (Christine) McBride of Lambertville, MI, and Adam Lynn McBride of Occoquan, VA; three daughters, Kelly Renee (Mark) Newland of Spencerville, OH, Kathryn Elaine (Robert) Wortman of Delphos, and Rachel A. (Todd) Wannemacher of Middle Point, OH; two brothers, Robert (Jillian) McBride of Maui and William McBride of Spencerville; a brother-in-law, Dick Patrick of Venedocia; one sister, Susan Diamond of Shawnee; and two sisters-in-law, Marge McBride of Ft. Wayne and Janice McBride of Elida; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Aaron McBride and Adam Newland; two brothers, Larry and James McBride; and a sister, Kay Patrick.

Garry served in the United States Army and trained in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Delphos Eagles Aerie #471 and a Freemason. In his free time, he enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing and woodworking. He loved to do things that involved using tools and to shop. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hartford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Family requests that masks be worn during visitation and the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to family or CHP Hospice of Delphos.
