Geoff "Tony" A. Schaffner

Geoff Antony “Tony” Schaffner, 43, of Delphos, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019, in Delphos. 

He was born on May 27, 1976, in Lima to James W. Schaffner who survives in Delphos and Betty (Lukehart) Schaffner  who survives in Lima.

Tony is also survived by a son, Jeremy M. Key of CA, and a daughter Skyla Mae Schaffner of Millstadt, IL; two brothers, James Andrew “Drew” Schaffner of Delphos, Joshua P. Schaffner of IN; two sisters, Melissa Schaffner and Yolanda “Loni” Ramsdell both of Marysville; and his step-mother, Ann Schaffner of Delphos.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Mary Jean “Jean” Schaffner and Charles and Betty Lukehart. 

Tony was a member of the Boilermaker’s Union.  He traveled with his work.  He enjoyed wire wrapping, making jewelry, fishing, playing guitar and attending rock concerts.  Tony was also a nature lover.  He loved spending time in California crabbing on the beach, and watching the sunrise and sunset; he loved cliffs and the Sequoia and Redwood National Parks. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.    Visitation will be from 2:00 until the time of service.  Rev. James Robinson will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to family.
