Gerald "Jerry" Baumgarte

Gerald “Jerry” Baumgarte, 87, of Delphos, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at Cypress Point Health Campus in Englewood, OH. He was born in Lima, OH, on July 22, 1937, to Sylvester and Coletta (Wannemacher) Baumgarte. They both preceded him in death.

Jerry is survived by his sisters, Nancy (Ron) Spieles of Vandalia, OH, and Sharon (Vincent) DeWitt of Auburn, CA.

Jerry was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Kenneth.

Jerry owned Print Quick for 29 years. He also served in the National Guard. Jerry enjoyed golfing. He was a member of the Delphos St. John Athletic Boosters, Knights of Columbus Council #1362, St. Vincent DePaul, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and lifetime member of VFW Post #3035. Jerry was very supportive of the entire community.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home with a K of C Rosary Service at 5:15 p.m.
