Hugh Morgan

Hugh Morgan, 63, of Delphos passed away on February 23, 2022, at Marion General Hospital. He was born September 1, 1958, in Lima to Dr. David O. and Marylou (Romig) Morgan. 

He is survived by two sisters, Dr. Beth Morgan Marks of Ft. Wayne, and Gwen Morgan of Columbus; nieces and nephews, Brian, Megan, and Missy Marks, and Tristan Kueper; and cousins, Chuck Schwartz, Diane Steslicki, and Debra Collins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his uncle Charles Schwartz, and his aunt Betty Morgan Schwartz.

Hugh was a 1976 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Delphos.  He was retired from Huffy.   

Hugh loved history; he loved reading about it, especially his Welsh heritage.  He also loved music.  This love began in the Delphos Jefferson High School Marching Band.  Also during high school he was a keyboardist in his friends’ garage band which played at several local events.   He was always learning about music, and he had a collection of vinyl 70’s rock.  His favorite pastime was going to concerts with his friend Jake Hammett.  Hugh also loved to travel, and had been to most of the United States as well as many other countries. He loved his dog, Peanut, who passed just a few months ago.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Pastor Harry Tolhurst will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
