James "Brent" Vanmeter

James Brent Vanmeter, 52, of Lima, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Lima, OH, to Robert and Karen (Sanders) Vanmeter. They both preceded him in death.

Brent is survived by his daughter, Jasmine Vanmeter; sons, James Vanmeter, John Vanmeter, and Jamie Vanmeter; stepbrother, George Corzine; sister, Dawn (Ron) Coburn; half-sister, Lisa Crowe; and stepsister, Cynthia Smith.

Brent was a forklift driver for almost 30 years for Coca-Cola. He was a former member of the Do Right Club. James loved to paint, wood burning, fishing, collecting coins, antique bottles, and model cars.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Do Right Motorcycle Club for their charity work.
