Jean M. Garlock

Jean M. Garlock, 91, of Ft. Jennings, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Charles O. Weaver and Agnes (Schabbing) Weaver who both preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Edward Elmer Garlock on Mary 28, 1949.  He passed on August 18, 2003.

She is survived by five children, Diane (Kenneth) Bendele of Ft. Jennings, Judy (Hugh) Hughes of Ft. Jennings, and Jean Rhodes of Van Wert, Tracy Garlock of Cloverdale, and Janet (Daniel) Kwaiser of Hemlock, MI; one sister Betty Oestrick of Royal Oak, MI; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; two sons, Michael Garlock and Edward Garlock; one grandson, Nathan Bendele, and son-in-law, Marty Rhodes.

Jean was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville.  She was a homemaker.  She was amazing at needlework making works of art.  She knitted, crocheted, and did cross stitch.  Jean was a truly beautiful person.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville. Fr. Jerry Schetter will officiate.  Visitation will be at Harter & Schier Funeral Home on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
