Jennifer Porter, 42, of Van Wert, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Van Wert County Hospital. She was born May 20, 1981, in Cleveland, to Robert Roth and Roberta Young. Her father preceded her in death in March 2023. Her mother survives in Delphos. She was united in marriage to James “Petey” Porter on December 30, 2021. He survives in Van Wert.

Jennifer is also survived by her children, Zandor Sempkowski of Van Wert, Jillian Sempkowski of Van Wert, Rylan Sempkowski of Middle Point, Quinton Sempkowski of Paulding, Anthony Porter of Van Wert; and granddaughter, Evelyn Porter.

Jennifer was a homemaker. Her favorite sport was football and loved rooting for the Steelers. Jennifer enjoyed drawing, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed the holidays and cooking for her family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
